Joelle and Max

Welcome to our Safe Haven Fundraiser!

If you have spoken with either of us over the past few years (particularly Joelle), you will have heard of our weekly “cat nights” at Safe Haven for Animals. Every Wednesday we spend a few hours at a cat shelter feeding, playing with, and cleaning up after 50 or so crazy felines. In the early days this felt like a bit of a chore, but over time we’ve grown to love our shelter visits and have developed bonds with each of the resident cats… even Linus.

About Safe Haven...

Safe Haven is a no-kill, not for profit cat shelter run by volunteers and funded 100% through donations. They provide a caring home for cats who would otherwise be stuck on the streets or in less than humane conditions. Cats are allowed to roam free at Safe Haven, no cages! While this sometimes leads to arched backs and hissing, for the most part, the cats appreciate the unique opportunity to live freely and be provided for as they await adoption.

Help us save lives!

We are fortunate enough to already live in a beautiful, furnished home together, and don’t need much in terms of traditional registry gifts. We have set up a honeymoon fund if you’d like to contribute to our post-marital vacation, but hope you’ll instead consider making a donation to Safe Haven for Animals on our behalf, they are a truly deserving cause.
